***PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT***

Hello readers,

As you may know, I live in New York but what you may not know is that I live on Long Island. A wealthy man named Charles Wang is looking to renovate the Nassau Coliseum to create a new one along with a baseball field and other things. At first, this may seem like an excellent idea but like all good things, there is a catch. Mr. Wang is looking to have the tax payers pay for the new coliseum.

These are some of the few reasons that letting this proposal pass is not in the interest of Nassau tax payers:
- there will be a property tax increase for 30 years
- the hockey team, The Islanders, are ranked 25 out of 30 according to ESPN (not good)
- Charles Wang does not need to use tax payers money in order to renovate the new coliseum

As you can see there are many reasons this proposal should not pass. I am not a random person who dislikes Charles Wang because he donated a building to my college. He is a good man but allowing tax payers to pay for something that may not seem too beneficial for homeowners and people who live on Long Island, may not seem like a good idea.

The only thing I ask of people who live here is to look at the pros and cons of the situation before you come to a full decision. I am Pro-Community and in this case, it is not beneficial. Once again, weigh the pros and cons before you make your decision.
